Woody Harrelson Officially Joins Han Solo Film, Will Cassian Andor Appear?

It’s been rumored for a little while now, but today Woody Harrelson officially joined the upcoming Han Solo standalone film.

The news was confirmed via StarWars.com, and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller seem thrilled to have Harrelson on board.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said the film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”

Although the official announcement didn’t reveal any details about Woody Harrelson’s character, it was recently reported that he will be playing Han Solo’s mentor.

On a related note, “Rogue One” star Deigo Luna was recently asked by MTV if his character Cassian Andor will be appearing in the upcoming Han Solo film. Luna played coy and then said that he doesn’t have an answer for that before he changed the subject to the interviewer’s shoes.

It remains to be seen if Cassian Andor will appear, but reports suggest that the film will take place 10 years before “Rogue One” so there’s always a chance that Andor could make a cameo of some sort.

The yet to be titled Han Solo standalone film is set to hit theaters in 2018.
