“Tomb Raider” had a lot of success when the franchise was rebooted in the video game world. Now the powers that be are trying to find the same success by rebooting the franchise in the film world, but first they’re going to need a director.
According to The Tracking Report, the three directors on the shortlist are Mimi Leder (Deep Impact), Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break) and Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight). The film will reportedly be somewhat of an origin story focusing on Lara Croft’s first adventure.
