Rumor Has It Fox Wants To Make A X-Men/Fantastic Four Crossover Movie For A 2018 Release

Everyone knows that crossovers are all the rage right now. Marvel changed the movie game with their shared universe and now everyone is trying to copy it. According to Latino Review, Fox is the next studio looking to get in on a little crossover action.

Thei report mentions that the X-Men film which is scheduled to be released in 2018 is planned to be a crossover movie with the Fantastic Four. These plans are of course pending on whether “Fantastic Four” and its planned sequel do well at the box office. It also depends on the success of “X-Men: a Apocalypse” and it’s hard to imagine that film won’t be a box office hit when it’s released next year. This could be huge for Fox, a studio that isn’t likely to do what Sony did and play friendly with Marvel Studios.

If this does happen it would interesting to see how it works out as far as the timeline goes. The upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” film is largely believed to be the end of the trilogy that started with “X-Men: First Class” and since it’s set in the 80s and the current cast is made up of young actors and actresses that won’t be able to magically age 30 plus years by 2018, it’s likely Fox would have to recast.

What do you think would you like to see the Fantastic Four and X-Men crossover?
