Zack Snyder’s DC films have caused a lot of controversy over the years, as people seem to either love them or hate them.

But fans who have been following Zack’s career know that the controversy is nothing new, as his adaptation of “Watchmen” also seemed to split fans down the middle when it was released in 2009.

The movie has an interesting legacy, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played The Comedian in the film, recently told Variety that he thinks the movie was ahead of its time.

“I’m very proud of that movie. People are still finding it and watching it and I think it’ll have fans forever. I think it was ahead of its time. I don’t know what else to say, other than I’m extremely proud of it. Not long ago, I caught the second half of the film, just flipping channels, and loved it. It was great.”

Whether or not it was ahead of its time is up for debate, but fans haven’t seen the last of Watchmen adaptations, as Damon Lindelof is currently developing a TV series for HBO.
