It’s going to be a rough week for fans of DC shows on the CW, because they’re all going away until the fall. Tonight the “Supergirl” season 2 finale is set to air on the CW, and it will feature the return of Superman along with the debut of General Zod.
Fans have seen Zod and Superman duke it out in the past, but this is the first time we’ll be seeing it on “Supergirl.” Tyler Hoechlin recently spoke to EW about the finale, and he’s teasing a little something “different” for the battle.
“I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen any of the other Superman-Zod battles, but I can promise that it will be different; that much I can promise. I’m not actually sure how to hint that it is, but you will know what I mean when you see it.”
“Supergirl” season 2 was certainly bigger than season 1 in the sense that it expanded Supergirl’s world, and with season 3 confirmed fans are wondering if Superman will return in the fall. Hoechlin was asked about Superman’s potential return, and he teased that he may not survive the finale.
“I will say this: If he’s alive by the end of it, then I would love to think there’s a possibility he would come back.”
The “Supergirl” season 2 finale will air tonight on the CW.
