After months of speculation Marvel Studios finally confirmed today that the Russo Brothers will indeed be directing Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 1 & Pt. 2. Rumors had been floating around for the better part of a year that the two brothers were in talks to direct the film after they knocked it out of the park with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Before they take on this epic two part film they will be directing Captain America: Civil War which is set to feature Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther with many other Marvel heroes and villains rumored to appear as well. Marvel has always been good at tying their films together and having the brothers direct two films in a row, one of which is broken into two separate parts should make for a cohesive cinematic experience.
Aengers: Infinity War Pt. 1 will premiere on May 4, 2018, and Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 2 will follow on May 3, 2019.
