Thanos Will Have Lots Of Good Screen Time In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ According To The Writers

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building for years now and another chapter will be added to the saga when “Captain America: Civil War” hits theaters on May 6. After “Civil War” the next big film for the MCU will be “Avengers: Infinity War” which is the film that will finally bring Thanos into the fold as the main villain.

Writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have been working hard to piece together the puzzle that is “Infinity War” and they recently talked about some of their ideas with The Huffington Post. They opened up about what excites them most about writing the film and they said that they’re looking forward to creating awesome scenes for Thanos.

“[Thanos]. It’s easy,” said McFeely. “Really giving him good scenes. You know, he’s never been the villain in any of the movies. He’s never been the main character in that way, so giving lots of good screen time to Thanos is paramount and pretty fun.”

“He hasn’t had an amazing scene. I think it’s an advantage ultimately, right? Because people are anticipating this guy coming in and really delivering the goods. So, I think they’re eager, and we just have to deliver it. We don’t have to convince them that he’s gonna be interesting. We just have to execute what has been teased,” said McFeely.

Thanos has been teased as the big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but he’s been operating behind the scenes and away from the main narrative. There’s a lot of anticipation for “Avengers: Infinity War” because people want to see him clash with the heroes. Luckily it sounds like McFeely and Markus have it under control.

“Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1” will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
