It’s been a long time coming, but on October 7, 2016, the wait for a Gambit solo film will finally be over. Channing Tatum is set to play Remy LeBeau in the film and now the movie has found its director.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Rupert Wyatt, the man who directed “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” will be calling the shots on the Gambit solo movie. Channing Tatum is also set to produce the film alongside Reid Carolin, Lauren Schuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg.
This will be Gambit’s first solo film although the character did appear in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and was played by Taylor Kitsch. There have also been a lot of rumors going around saying that we will see Channing Tatum’s Gambit in “X-Men: Apocalypse” next year. We will just have to wait and see.
