Norman Reedus Describes The Second Half Of The Walking Dead Season 6 As ‘So Hardcore’

Tonight’s the night. It’s Valentine’s Day and “The Walking Dead” is returning to Sunday nights after a long break. When we last left Rick and company Alexandria was being torn to shreds by walkers. Things aren’t looking good and it’s highly unlikely that everyone is going to survive the second half of the season.

Norman Reedus recently spoke to Men’s Fitness about the second half of season six and although he couldn’t say much, he did offer up a little bit. Reedus says the second half is “so hardcore.” He also says the scenes were so emotionally draining that the crew was balling their eyes out while filming.

“I can’t tell you, but the second half of the season is so hardcore. It’s sort of like the first half was the pulling back of an arrow with a bow, and the arrow has gained momentum. The second half is the really emotionally draining release. We’ve had so many scenes where our crew was crying because they were feeling so emotional and heavy.”

“The Walking Dead” returns tonight on AMC at 9pm EST.
