Nintendo announced last year that they were working on a new console called the NX and ever since then rumors have been flying like crazy. But one thing we no longer have to wonder about is when the console will be released. Nintendo has announced that the NX will be released in March of 2017.
“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand-new concept,” Nintendo revealed in their earnings report. “NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”
It’s been speculated that Nintendo would be showing off the NX at E3 but the company confirmed to IGN that they’re saving the reveal for later this year. Nintendo’s earning report also confirmed that the company is pushing back the release date of the next Legend of Zelda game to 2017. The game will be released for both the Wii U and the NX similar to how “Twilight Princess” was released for the Wii and the Gamecube.
