There’s something about Hollywood and video game movies that just doesn’t mix. There are many, many video games out there with great stories that Hollywood just can’t seem to adapt to the big screen. But every once in a while fans take things into their own hands and create something special. That’s the case here with “Metroid: The Sky Calls.”
The short was made by Rainfall Films and it stars Jessica Chobot as Samus Aran. It’s not very long but it pretty much nails everything you would want from a Metroid movie, which is something we probably won’t see anytime soon. If Nintendo ever decides to get serious about bringing their properties to the big screen, it’s probably not a bad idea for them to get in touch with Rainfall Films.
