Matt Damon Says He Would Be Down To Do A Daredevil Movie If Christopher Nolan Directed It

Matt Damon is doing a lot of press at the moment to promote his new film “The Martian.” But during a recent interview with the NY Daily News, the subject of Damon possibly playing a superhero came up. Matt Damon revealed during the interview that when he and Ben Affleck were growing up Daredevil was their favorite superhero.

“For us it was always ‘Daredevil’ — that’s the comic we read when we were kids. But when that one came along (in 2003) I chickened out, because I couldn’t tell. I hadn’t seen the director (Mark Steven Johnson’s) work and I didn’t know. So I just said, ‘No.’ Ben was like, ‘I gotta do it.”

Obviously it’s not likely considering the success of Marvel’s “Daredevil” on Netflix, but Damon mentioned that if Christopher Nolan directed a movie based on Daredevil, he would want to be in it.

“If Chris Nolan came up to me and said, ‘I want to do Daredevil,’ I would be in.” he added.

He also talked a little bit about Ben Affleck’s approach to Batman and more. You can check out the rest of the interview here.
