“The Flash” will be taking a little break from the show’s normal story arcs next week, and the cast and crew will be singing and dancing their hearts out for a musical crossover episode titled “Duet.”

Stars from “The Flash” and “Supergirl” will be a part of the crossover, and Victor Garber will be bringing Professor Stein into the fold for the episode as well.

Martin Stein has a history with “The Flash” but he currently spends most of his time on DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow.” However, Stein will be a big part of the episode as he will be working closely with Jesse L. Martin’s Joe West.

Iris West’s character in the crossover will be called Millie, and Jesse L. Martin recently revealed to TV Line that Stein and Joe will play Millie’s two dads.

“That’s one of the cool things about [The Flash] — just when you think you’ve settled into the character that you’d originally been given, all of a sudden they find a way to give you something else to do.”

It will certainly be interesting to see new takes on all of the characters we’ve become so familiar with, but if “The Flash” has proved anything over the years, it’s that the show knows how to handle having the same actors play multiple different versions of themselves.

“Duet” will air on the CW on Tuesday, March 21st.

DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.
