“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” carried a dark tone throughout the movie and according to Gal Gadot “Wonder Woman” is going to be “pretty dark” as well. Gadot recently spoke to Digital Spy while doing press for “Batman v Superman” and she gave some hints as to what fans can expect from the film when it hits theaters.
“It’s very interesting. It has moments of humour, but it’s pretty dark.” Gadot said. “In Batman v Superman, you get a glimpse of who she is but not where she comes from. In Wonder Woman, this would be the first time we ever tell the coming-of-age story of how Diana becomes Wonder Woman,”
She added that the version of Wonder Woman we see in the film will not be the same as the refined warrior and confident warrior we saw in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” She says that the film will take fans back to a time when Diana Prince was more naive.
Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Robin Wright will all star in the Patty Jenkins directed film. DC recently made some changes to their release schedule and it looks like we’ll be seeing “Wonder Woman” sooner than expected. It was announced this will that the film will now be released on June 2, 2017.
