The ultimate bomb was dropped at E3 this week when it was announced that “Final Fantasy 7” would be getting a remake. From the looks of the trailer the game is going to be fantastic but that might not be the only remake on the way.
When asked about more potential remakes, Tetsuya Nomura brought up “Final Fantasy V” and “Final Fantasy VI.” See what he had to say below.
“Considering that we have remakes of Final Fantasy up to IV and then we have VII — I’ve been working with Mr. [Yoshinori] Kitase since Final Fantasy V, and we’ve noticed that V and VI are missing. That bothers me. How come we skipped over those two?” Nomura told VentureBeat.
This is by no means a confirmation that remakes of those games will happen, but it’s still exciting to know that they’re on his mind. “Final Fantasy VII” is obviously the most popular game of the series with “Final Fantasy VI” trailing close behind. Let’s all hope that this remake does well and opens the floodgates for more to be made in the future.
