Famke Janssen Says She Thinks Her Jean Grey Should Be Brought Back

Famke Janssen is no stranger to the role of Jean Grey as she’s played the character several times. But now Sophie Turner is taking over the role for “X-Men: Apocalypse” and Janssen recently told Entertainment Weekly that Sophie reached out for some advice. Famke says her advice to Sophie was that she’s perfect for the role and she doesn’t need any advice.

Although Famke does think that Sophie Turner is perfect for the role of Jean Grey, she did express an interest in returning to the franchise.

“In the X-Men series, they’ve been doing this for years. Although women, it’s interesting because they’re replaced, and the older versions, or more mature, whatever the politically correct version of that is are never to be seen again. Whereas the men are allowed to be both ages. I think that I should be back along with my younger version and the way that we’ve seen it with Magneto and Professor X.”

Famke said that she’s brought up the idea of both versions of Jean Grey being used but she hasn’t heard anything back.

You can see Sophie Turner make her debut as Jean Grey when “X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters on May 27, and you can check out a clip from Famke Janssen’s interview with EW below.
