“Guardians of the Galaxy” was a smash hit for Marvel Studios in the summer of 2014 and Marvel no doubt hopes that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will be just as successful when it’s released in 2017.
There’s a lot of hype behind the sequel and it will expand on the world of “Guardians” by adding new characters. One of the new characters who will be joining the cast is Mantis who will be played by actress Pom Klementieff.
“She has never really experienced social interaction,” says executive producer Jonathan Schwartz. “Everything she learns about dealing with people, she learns from the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a very weird group to learn your social intricacies from.”
