Clark Gregg Thinks Black Widow Deserves Her Own Movie, Calls Lack Of Black Widow Merchandise “Unacceptable”

The lack of Black Widow merchandise has been a contrversial topic recently due to the fact that The Avengers are so popular right now. Still Agent Romanov seems to be getting very little love from Marvel’s merchandise department.

When the lack of Black Widow merchandise game up at an #ABCStudiosTour live event, Bleeding Cool described Clark Gregg as fearless when saying.

“It’s unacceptable, that’s the shortest answer I can come up with.” Gregg told Bleeding Cool.

He then went on to say that Black Widow deserves her own movie and we couldn’t agree more.

“As soon as Agent Romanov gets her own stand alone film, which she deserves, more of that merchandise will be forthcoming.” Clark Gregg added.

The fans have been calling for a Black Widow movie for quite some time now because who doesn’t want to see ScarJo kick butt for 2 hours? Hollywood doesn’t seem to have much faith in the concept although several people attached to Marvel have confirmed that it’s at least been discussed.

Hayley Atwell who plays Peggy Carter in the Marvel Universe said during the panel that it’s up to the audience to demand that it happens. She added that “Agent Carter” is a direct response to fan demand. Her point being, if you want to see a Black Widow movie let the powers that be know. We don’t know about you guys, but we definitely want to see it.
