Why Avengers Tower Doesn’t Appear In Marvel’s Netflix TV Shows

Since day one Marvel Studios has been telling fans that it’s all connected. There’s no denying that Marvel has done a great job at connecting all of their films, but even though the TV shows and films exist in the same universe, they don’t really intersect.

With most of Marvel’s TV shows taking place in New York City, it would make sense for Avengers Tower to appear on one of the shows, but it hasn’t happened.

Inverse recently asked executive producer of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb if the lack of Avengers Tower is due to budgetary reasons, and he said that it’s more about the point of view in regards to where the TV shows take place.

“I think it’s much more that we look at it from the point of view of “where are we?” and having to establish that along the way. In many ways, being less specific helps the audience understand that this could be on any street corner. Where we’re sitting right now, I can see the Empire State Building, but if we were sitting 30 blocks that way, I wouldn’t be able to see the Empire State Building. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means that we can’t see it from where we are.”

That might not be the most satisfying answer, as fans are still hoping to see characters from the TV shows interact with characters from the movies someday.

Will it ever happen? Only time will tell.
