Katie Cassidy is set to be a series regular on “Arrow” for season 6, and she’ll be reprising her role as Black Siren. We’re also going to be seeing a lot of Dinah Drake, as she will be a series regular in season 6 as well, and it was recently confirmed that she will be suiting up as the Black Canary.

Laurel Lance was the last person to embrace the Black Canary mantle (unless you want to count Evelyn Sharp, but let’s just not) and with Dinah Drake suiting up it seems inevitable that she will face off against Laurel’s Earth-2 counterpart at some point. Showrunner Wendy Mericle recently spoke to EW about Black Siren’s reaction to the new Black Canary, and it doesn’t sound like she’s going to be very happy about it.

“That’s a great question. I’ll just say this: She’s probably not going to like it very much. [Laughs] I mean, I don’t know how much research she’s done about her Earth-1 Laurel, but I would have to say that I think there’s going to be some sparks flying there.”

Judging from Wendy’s comments, it seems that the writers likely have something in mind for a Black Siren/Black Canary showdown.

Back in April, Juliana Harkavy was asked about a possible face off, and she made it clear that she’s interested in making it happen.

“I actually don’t know if a face-off is in store, but that would be epic!”

“Arrow” will return in October.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
