It’s been rumored for months that Amber Heard would be playing Mera in “Justice League” and now it’s confirmed. Heard announced the news during an interview with EW and she also confirmed that she’s tried on the costume. She described it as being a half suit of armor and half scales and followed up by saying it’s a work in progress. You can see Amber’s reaction to trying on the suit in the clip above.

She will play opposite Jason Momoa’s Aquaman who is set to make his debut in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” next week. “Justice League” then begins production in April and it’s set for a November 17, 2017 release. Aquaman will get his own solo film the following year on July 27, 2018.

“Justice League” will unite Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg on the big screen for the first time ever. Henry Cavill’s Superman is already established in this universe, but the other five members will be introduced in “Batman v Superman.” Batman and Wonder Woman will have major roles but Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg are said to only have cameo roles in the film.
