“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is unfortunately getting slammed by critics at the moment. But one of the things most people seem to agree is that Gal Gadot nails it with her performance as Wonder Woman. Although the movie itself is catching some flack, Gal seems to be receiving mostly favorable reviews.
It’s a good thing that Gal Gadot has managed to get a buzz going around Wonder Woman, because she’s got her own film coming out next year. Entertainment Weekly is giving her a helping hand when it comes to building hype for the film, as they’ve just released a new photo of Wonder Woman along with some fresh new faces.
The photo shows Diana standing side by side with her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), along with her two aunts General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli). You can check it out below.
The three women raised Diana and according to director Patty Jenkins they will all have very different ideas in regards to what’s best for her.
“She is the only child they raised together,a nd their love for her manifests in a different way for each of them.” Jenkins told EW.
Jenkins and her team created Wonder Woman’s homeland of Themyscira by shooting footage on islands off the coast of China and Italy. Producer Charles Roven says that the look that they use in the film will be very enticing.
“It’s a place that has the ‘you’ve never been to’ kind of feel. But once you’re there you’re not so sure you really want to leave so fast.” Roven said.
“Wonder Woman” hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
