Tom Holland is one of the newest additions to the MCU as he’ll be making his debut in “Captain America: Civil War” next year. There’s just one problem, Tom Holland doesn’t know what the movie is about. Holland recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly and he revealed that he turned down the chance to read the script when he was cast in the movie.
“I don’t even know what Civil War is about. I was only working on it for a week or two weeks or something. So they offered for me to read the script, and I said ‘No, I don’t want to read it, because I’ll be doing all these interviews and I’ll end up telling secrets and stuff. I’ve got such a big mouth.’ So I actually don’t know what it’s about. I’m going to watch this film as an audience member, rather than someone who is in it. I’ll be like, ‘I wonder what my bits are about?’”
Well, it actually makes a lot more sense when he puts it that way. Holland didn’t want to read the script because he didn’t want to spoil the movie for the rest of us and he was worried that he would open his big mouth. It looks like we owe Tom Holland a thank you for that one.
One way or another whether Tom Holland knows what he does in the film or not, we’ll be seeing Spider-Man make his MCU debut next year.
