Director Matthew Vaughn has finally revealed the title for the next “Kingsman” film will be titled “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” While speaking to Empire via CBM Vaughn also revealed that he had reservations about directing the film.
“I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot.” Vaughn said.
The villain this time around will be none other than Julianna Moore who is playing the character of Poppy. The magazine also released some new concept art which includes a glimpse of Poppy’s lair.
As for whether or not the sequel will feature another sequence that’s on par with the church massacre, Vaughn said he has something else in mind this time around.
“You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.”
It was also revealed that the film will feature a skiing scene along with robot dogs, a bar room brawl and more. “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” opens in theaters on June 16, 2017.
