The Russo Brothers are a hot commodity in Hollywood thanks to the success of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and now they’ve announced a new deal with Sony Pictures. The three year deal gives Sony “first dibs” on the Russo Brothers and this has created a lot of speculation as to what they will be working on in the future.
When asked about the deal the brothers said:
“We’re thrilled to make a home at Sony Pictures, and to be partnering with the entire team,” the brothers said in a joint statement. “The studio has created an environment that is not only collaborative, but truly filmmaker-friendly and we’re excited to begin developing both new and ambitious material with them.”
This is another big step forward for working relations between Sony and Marvel Studios. Their next film Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016 and Spider-Man is rumored to appear in the film.
