Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is officially signed up for “Alpha Squad Seven.” What is “Alpha Squad Seven” you ask? It’s an original movie concept that’s being described as a “Guardians of the Galaxy” meets “Independence Day” with a little bit of “Armageddon” thrown into the mix.
DreamWorks has reportedly picked the concept up for two films and is hoping to build it into a franchise. The writers of the film had apparently been pitching the film to several studios and The Rock’s 7 Bucks Productions forwarded the script to DreamWorks and now here we are.
The Rock’s ex-wife Dany Garcia is listed as an executive producer on the film. No word yet on when it will go into production, but so far it sounds pretty cool.
