“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is a force to be reckoned with at the box office. It’s broken record after record, it became the fastest film to gross $1 billion dollars and now it’s one of the top 10 highest grossing films of all time.
The seventh episode of the “Star Wars” saga has currently grossed a total of $1.16 billion dollars worldwide. The film brought in $31.4 million on Monday for a domestic total of $571.4 million. This means that the movie will soon become the fifth film in history to cross the the $600 million mark domestically alongside “Avatar”,”Titanic”,”Jurassic World” and “The Avengers.”
Chances are high that the movie will quickly move up the top 10 highest grossing films list as it’s likely to draw big once again when the weekend rolls around. Can “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” become the highest grossing film ever? The answer to that question remains to be seen but it certainly has momentum at the box office and it doesn’t look like that momentum is going to slow down anytime soon.
