After the events of “Captain America: Civil War” Bucky Barnes went into hiding in Wakanda, but he resurfaced during the mid-credits scene of “Black Panther.”
During the scene it was revealed that Bucky will no longer be known as The Winter Soldier, as he’s taken on the identity of White Wolf.
Sebastian Stan recently spoke to Kinowetter about the name change, and admitted that he thought it was pretty clever.
“Now, talking about comic books and merging them with the MCU, I want to go back and revisit the Black Panther comics because of the White Wolf situation and that’s a whole different line, so I didn’t even see that really going that way and understanding what that could be. But it’s really clever the way they do it, if you think about it. I look at that and go, ‘Of course. That makes sense, that feels well.’ I don’t know how they think about it.”
“Avengers: Infinity War” is going to be a big movie for Bucky, as he seems to have moved on from his past. He’ll finally be fighting alongside the heroes, and he’ll also be reuniting with his BFF Steve Rogers.
“Avengers: Infinity War” will open in theaters on April 27.
“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.”
