Shortly after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hit theaters, numerous fan theories regarding the film’s mysteries hit the internet.
Everyone’s trying to figure out who Rey’s parents are, and fans are also convinced that Supreme Leader Snoke’s true identity is a big secret that must be uncovered. Many fans aren’t convinced that Snoke is simply Snoke, and there are theories out there claiming he’s Darth Plagueis, the Emperor, or possibly Mace Windu.
Mace Windu was played by Samuel L. Jackson in the Star Wars prequels, but Mace appeared to have met his end in “Revenge of the Sith.” During a battle with Palpatine, Windu’s hand was cut off and he was thrown out of a window. However, it has not been confirmed that Windu is dead.
ET recently caught up with Samuel L. Jackson and they asked him about the Mace is Snoke fan theory, and he made it clear that he isn’t buying into that theory
“I’m not part of that rumor or theory. I’d like for Mace Windu to just be Mace Windu. I’m of the idea that Jedi can fall from enormous heights and still survive. The fact that he cut his hand off is not a big deal. There are a lot of one handed Jedis, or people with robotic, or enhanced hands in that world. Hopefully I can be one of them.”
Although Jackson may not be a fan of that theory, he also made it clear that he would be more than happy to sign on for another Star Wars movie.
“Episode VIII” is set to hit theaters next year.
