Team Flash haven’t had an easy time with Gorilla Grodd. He’s been wreaking havoc in Central City in both season 1 and season 2 of the show. But when we last saw Grodd, Harrison Wells of Earth-2 set him up with some companions as he sent him to Gorilla City. So is this the last we’ve seen of Gorilla Grodd?
Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg recently answered a few questions at the TCA 2016 Winter Press Tour and he talked about the villain’s future on the show. Kreisberg says we will be seeing Grodd again, but probably not this season.
“I would liken the Gorilla City thing to Ra’s al Ghul. You know, you hear about “the man from nanda part” in [Arrow] Season 1, and “the man who showed Malcolm the way,” and then you met Nyssa, then in Season 3 you met Ra’s. So, it’s a long-term thing.” Kreisberg told Collider.
It was also announced recently that Kevin Smith will be directing an episode of the show. Kreisberg was asked exactly how Smith came into the fold and he noted that it all came together pretty quickly.
“I literally got a phone call from his agent saying that Kevin Smith’s favorite show is The Flash, and if was there an episode for him, and the answer wasyes. It was really that simple. I didn’t know him personally, I’ve just been such a huge fan of his work.” Andrew Kreisberg added.
“The Flash” is set to return with new episodes on January 19.
