People anxiously awaiting the “Power Rangers” reboot film are going to have to wait a little bit longer. The film originally had a release date of July 22, 2016 but now it’s been delayed until January 13, 2017. There wasn’t an official reason given for the delay but Lionsgate has several projects that are keeping them busy in the meantime.
Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller are set to write the film and “Project Almanac” director Dean Israelite is in talks to direct. There have been a lot of rumors going around as far as casting goes. Taylor Lautner, Liam Hemsworth, Chloe Grace Moretz and even Morgan Freeman’s name has been tossed around as someone who might join the film. Jason David Frank has also expressed interest in returning as Tommy Oliver.
