A Nightwing movie is currently in development with Chris McKay attached to direct, but other than the fact that it’s in development, not much is known about the film at this point in time.
One of the big things fans are wondering is who will end up playing Nightwing on the big screen. Fans have been talking about the possibility of stars such as Steven Yuen or Zac Efron taking over the role and “Stranger Things” star Dacre Montgomery recently posted a Nightwing teaser on social media.
However, it seems that the casting process is far from finished, as director Chris McKay recently announced an open casting call. McKay encourage anyone interested in the role to get an agent or manager and have them submit their work to the studio.
The director posted the following on Twitter:
“Re Nightwing Casting. Have an agent or manager submit your work. To the studio. An agent or manager protects you and also is an endorsement of your character. It means you take yourself and your career seriously… and so does someone else.”
“There will be an open casting call but that is like Vegas odds for sure. Don’t leave your career up to chance. Believe in yourself. Bet on yourself. Get an agent or a manager.”
It may sound crazy, but if you want to play Nightwing on the big screen, this might be your chance.
