Henry Cavill will suit up and play Superman for a third time in “Justice League” but fans have been wondering when and/or if we might be seeing a “Man of Steel” sequel.

“Man of Steel” was responsible for kicking off the DCEU, but Warner Bros. have not yet officially announced a sequel. Henry Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia, recently spoke to Newsweek and she noted that a Superman standalone film is in development.

“Henry has a big appetite,” Garcia says. “We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [Justice League] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world. It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”

Henry Cavill will return as Superman in “Justice League” on November 17, 2017.
