We recently got a glimpse of Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and now EW has just released the first look at the new suits from the upcoming “Power Rangers” reboot. The suits are certainly a departure from the original suits used in the show and they’re being described as, “translucent extraterrestrial armor that crystallizes around their bodies.”
“It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume,” production designer Andrew Menzies said while talking about the new suits “Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”
“Power Rangers” is set to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
