Michael Keaton was, is and forever will be Batman to a lot of people. After bringing Batman to life on the big screen and into the mainstream Keaton has pretty much earned the right to say whatever he wants about super hero movies.
Last night Michael Keaton appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and he didn’t hold back when expressing his opinions on Spider-Man. Keaton shared a story about a time when he brought a device into a store to be fixed but he couldn’t get the person behind the counter to pay attention to him. The employee behind the counter was too busy watching one of the Spider-Man films to pay attention to Michael Keaton.
Keaton says the film came to an emotional scene between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone which involved Peter crying. Keaton says he asked the employee if Spider-Man was crying to which the employee said “Yeah.” Keaton then waited a moment and simply responded by saying “Pussy.”
He then followed up by reminding the employee what makes Batman so bad ass. “And I wait. And he kinda does this, he kinda looks at me and he’s locked in, and I go, ‘Batman’d never cry.'” Keaton said.
