Michael Keaton will be stepping into the role of The Vulture for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and it’s been rumored that he would be joined by another villain in the film as well.
Deadline is now reporting that Michael Chernus has joined the cast of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and he will be playing The Tinkerer. Chernus has acting credits in movies such as “Captain Phillips,” “The Bourne Legacy” and he’s a series regular on the hit Netflix series “Orange Is The New Black.”
The Tinkerer has a history of creating weapons and tech for some of Spider-Man’s adversaries such as The Vulture. It’s been rumored for a while now that The Tinkerer would be helping The Vulture create his suit in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and it’s also been rumored that he will be using Chitauri tech that was recovered from the Battle of New York.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is currently shooting in Atlanta and the film is set to be released on July 7th, 2017.
