Konami Announces New Metal Gear Game Titled Metal Gear Survive

Konami announced a brand new Metal Gear game at Gamescom, and it will be a co-op survival game titled “Metal Gear Survive.”

“Metal Gear Survive” will be the first Metal Gear title released following Hideo Kojima’s departure from Konami and it’s being described as “survival done the Metal Gear way.”

The game picks up right after “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” and Konami released a new trailer which features a quick shot of Big Boss. Although we see some familiar faces in the beginning of the trailer, it looks like the majority of the gameplay will incorporate new characters.

In the trailer we see people getting sucked through some sort of wormhole and on the other side they are forced to fight zombies which Konami have labeled “biological threats.”

“Metal Gear Survive will offer a fresh take on the series’ famed stealth elements,” Konami European president said. “But within a unique co-op setting that is designed for a truly engrossing multiplayer experience.”
