David Ayer’s Suicide Squad already has some pretty big names attached to it and now Cinema Blend is reporting that Joe Manganiello is in talked to play Deathstroke in the film.
Jason Clarke is also rumored for the role but their source reports that “it is an almost certainty that Manganiello has the role.”
Manganiello is best know for his role as Alcide Herveaux in the HBO series True Blood and has ties to David Ayer as he recently worked with him on the film Sabotage. As far as comic book movies go he’s no stranger to those either. Joe played Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and he was being considered for the role of Batman before Ben Affleck was announced for the role.
Suicide Squad currently has a release date of August 5, 2016 and is likely to being shooting next month.
