The first season of “Jessica Jones” was a big hit and now fans are dying to see more of the character on the small screen. Jones will be teaming up with Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist for The Defenders series which starts shooting later this year and Krysten Ritter recently confirmed that season 2 of “Jessica Jones” will start shooting as soon as “The Defenders” is finished.
“They’ll be back-to-back.” Ritter told Digital Spy. “I don’t know if they’ll overlap a little bit…It’s about to be a serious undertaking. I’m starting my physical training – lots of weight training and boxing.”
Jessica will obviously be in a very different place in season 2 now that Kilgrave is no longer a factor. Ritter talked about season 2 and said she’s excited to see where the story goes.
“I’m excited to see what happens next for Jessica, and the end of season one left a lot of doors open and questions unanswered. Kilgrave was her reason for getting up every morning. Saving people gave her purpose. I wonder how emotionally taxed she’s going to be now.”
The next Marvel show to premiere on Netflix will be “Luke Cage” which arrives September 20th and “The Defenders” will start shooting later this year.
