Well Wolverine fans, it seems that the end is drawing near for Hugh Jackman’s run as the iconic X-Men character. Hugh was a guest on Dr. Oz today and he confirmed that his appearance in the next Wolverine movie will indeed be the last time he plays the character.
“It is my last time, it just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.” Jackman said.
It still hasn’t been confirmed one way or another if Hugh will be putting the claws on for “X-Men: Apocalypse” which is currently filming. The next Wolverine film is set to be released in 2017 with “X-Men: Apocalypse” set for a 2016 release date, there’s still a possibility he could appear in that film as well.
