George Lucas Confirms Disney Didn’t Want To Use His Ideas For Episode VII

There’s been a lot of talk about how far ahead George Lucas planned for an Episode VII over the years. It seems that George had a pretty solid idea for a new trilogy but according to him, Disney weren’t interested in his ideas.

“The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those,” Lucas told Cinemablend. “So they made up their own. So it’s not the ones that I originally wrote.”

Episode VII was originally supposed to be written by Michael Arndt but Slash Films reported that J.J. Abrams and Arndt had a disagreement about the film’s direction which caused him to leave. The writing was then finished by Abrams and Lawrence Kasden.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens on December 18, 2015 and a new trailer is rumored to be premiering ahead of “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”.
