According to TMZ actor Garry Shandling passed away on Thursday at the age of 66. Their sources report that a 911 call came from the actor’s home and that he was transported to a hospital where he later died. Garry wasn’t suffering from any illnesses and the cause of death is unknown at this point.
Garry Shandling appeared in many different movies and television shows throughout his career and he is of course best known for his work on “The Larry Sanders Show.” The show was created by Shandling and it ran for 89 episodes on HBO and picked up 56 Emmy nominations with 3 wins during its run.
Shandling was also a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he played Senator Stern in “Iron Man 2.” He also got to whisper the words “Hail Hydra” to Jasper Sitwell in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and that scene has since become an iconic MCU moment in its own right.
