The “Fantastic Four” reboot totally bombed this summer. It’s been well documented that the film was a bit of a disaster and it was panned by critics along with fans upon release. Still, despite the film’s lack of success, Fox remained adamant that they were committed to making a sequel. But it appears that they may have changed their tune.
Although this has yet to be confirmed by Fox, Box Office is now reporting that Fox has removed “Fantastic Four 2” from their schedule.

Even as recently as September producer Simon Kinberg was still talking about plans for a sequel. However it looks like someone at Fox has realized that might not be the best path to travel for several reasons.
So there you have it folks. If this report is true that means the Fantastic Four is once again in limbo awaiting their next reboot. Who will step up and take the reigns next time?
