Lucasfilm has released the first trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and it looks epic. All the buzz surrounding “The Force Awakens” was just starting to die down, and the release of this trailer was perfectly timed because hype for “Rogue One” is about to hit an all time high.
The clip outlines the plot of the film and focuses on Felicity Jones’ character who appears to be rebel among rebels. The rebellion tells her that they have a mission for her and then the trailer cuts to a shot of the Death Star being assembled. The trailer also shows the rest of the cast as the Rogue One crew is hunted down by Stormtroopers and Death Troopers. The footage shows off quite a bit of action and we even get to see some AT-AT walkers.
The clip is nearly 2 minutes long, and it gets the job done because you will want to see more of the movie when it’s through. Check it out below.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will take place between “Episode III” and “Episode IV” and it will focus on a team of elite rebels who are trying to steal the plans for the Death Star.
The film is set to hit theaters on December 16, 2016.
