We’ve seen photos of the new Ghostbusters team, but now we finally get to see them in action. The first official trailer for “Ghostbusters” starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon has been released.
The trailer introduces the new team and shows what brings them together. The film is set 30 years after the last Ghostbusters film and New York City is once again being overrun by ghosts. The team then arms themselves with proton packs and an Ecto-1 to take on the ghosts.
At one point in the trailer Kristen Wiig’s character mentions that someone has created a device that amplifies paranormal activity. So it looks like there will be a villain lurking in the shadows. We also get to a ghost possess the body of Melissa McCarthy which ends up being pretty hilarious.
