Fans of the show “Constantine” were pretty bummed when the show wasn’t picked up for a second season. The show had rabid fans but struggled to bring in good ratings due to its Friday night time slot on NBC. David S. Goyer recently spoke to Variety and he feels that the show could have done a lot better on a different network.
“We almost doubled our numbers in DVR numbers, but they weren’t quite there in network television in counting those metrics,” he said. “If it had been on a basic cable channel, it could still be on.”
It’s tough to say what would have happened had the show been on a different network and unfortunately we’ll never know. But luckily Constantine is making a guest appearance on “Arrow” this season and Goyer couldn’t be more excited about it. He went on to say that he feels Matt Ryan is the definitive depiction of John Constantine.
What do you guys think, would “Constantine” still be on the air if it was on a different network?
