A few years ago the “Tomb Raider” video game franchise underwent a successful reboot and now Hollywood is hoping to do the same thing for the film franchise. But before the film can get off the ground and start filming, its going to need a lead actress. According to Deadline, Daisy Ridley is one of the actresses being considered for the part.
The report mentions that Ridley is one of a number of actresses being considered for the role and that the talks are still in the early stages. Negotiations haven’t officially started and it’s said that the producers are keeping their options open.
Daisy Ridley is of course very busy with the “Star Wars” franchise as she’s currently filming “Episode VIII.” However there’s no denying that she would be a great fit for the role. Ridley has the right look to pull of the more modern Lara Croft and her accent is a perfect fit.
Lara Croft was previously played by Angelina Jolie in two separate “Tomb Raider” films which received mixed reviews.
