After 10 years of anticipation, The Avengers will finally face off against Thanos when “Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters in May.
The last few MCU films have changed the status quo in a big way, and at the end of “Captain America: Civil War” we saw Steve Rogers drop his shield.
It appears that Steve Rogers has left the Captain America mantle behind following the events that took place in “Civil War” and the first trailer for “Infinity War” shows Rogers sporting a very different look.
Steve is looking much more grizzled nowadays thanks to his big beard, and it’s been rumored that he will end up taking on the moniker of Nomad in the upcoming film.
Chris Evans threw a little bit of gas on the fire this weekend when he signed a fan’s shield and he signed it as both “Cap” and “Nomad.”
Of course there’s always a pretty solid chance that Evans is just messing with the fans, but there’s also a chance that he just confirmed a huge rumor.
We’ll find out in May.
