Channing Tatum’s Gambit film is in need of a new director and it looks like it could be Doug Liman. Liman who’s made a name for himself directing films like “The Bourne Identity” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” is apparently being courted by Channing Tatum himself according to reporter Jeff Sneider.
True that Channing Tatum has been courting Doug Liman to direct GAMBIT. We'll see if he goes for it though…

As Jeff mentioned, it remains to be seen if it will happen though. Liman is no stranger when it comes to directing films involving super powers as he was behind the camera for the 2008 film “Jumper” which starred Hayden Christensen as a teleporter.
Will Doug Liman sign on the direct the film? Apparently that all depends on just how persuasive Channing Tatum can be.
