Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill recently spoke to Good Morning America to promote the release of “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” During the interview Affleck was asked if he reached out to any of the actors that have played Batman in the past for advice.
Affleck says he did reach out and George Clooney gave him some advice that was “not repeatable.” He did mention that Christian Bale told him to make sure he got a zipper in the suit which is advice he says turned out to be valuable. You can check it out below.

Affleck and Henry Cavill also talked about how Batman facing off against Superman isn’t a fair fight. When asked how Batman had any chance of winning Affleck joked that he has to take advantage of the fact that Superman is a good guy.

Getting into shape for the role of course wasn’t easy. Ben Affleck mentioned that Cavill really set the bar high as far as the superhero physique goes. Affleck says he put on 20lbs of muscle to play Batman

Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill have been very busy promoting “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” lately. They also recently appeared during the NBA All-Star pre-game show panel on Sunday where Affleck described his Batman as “broken.”
“He’s a little over the hill. He’s broken. He’s kind of given up. When Superman shows up, he’s so powerful that he threatens everything Batman believes in and it leads to this conflict.” Affleck told the panel.
“Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens everywhere on March 25, 2016.
